Gloria Copeland — Old Testament Obedience
Posted by admin | Filed under Gloria Copeland, Kenneth Copeland Ministries

God has always desired a people who would choose to walk with Him—to follow Him and to come into agreement with Himin the earth.
Generation after generation He has desired a people He could elevate to such a place that all the nations of the world would know they were the ones He had blessed.
But there has always been a problem. It existed in the Garden of Eden and was in the children of Israel in the wilderness. To a great extent, it’s in the Church today. The problem? Disobedient people.
Under the old covenant, the people had to be obedient by keeping the Law diligently, with their souls—their minds, wills and emotions.
Under the new covenant, we’re to keep God’s Word not only with our souls, but with our hearts (our spirits). It’s so much easier for us to be obedient to God than it was for them because we have a new heart, born again in the image and nature of God.
More than ever, we should be obedient to Him because now we don’t have to walk according to Old Testament law, but in newness of our born-again spirits. We’ve been reborn to be obedient.
While we’re here on the earth, we must do what we can for God. This includes being obedient and victorious in every area of our lives.
Jesus knew this when He was a man on the earth. He was raised among people who knew they had to obey the voice of God and keep His statutes. He learned what the prophets of God before Him had said, and began a walk of perfect obedience.

Gloria Copeland — Keep Your Heart With All Diligence

“Keep thy heart with all diligence.” Be diligent about keeping God’s Word in your heart. Continually attending to it with your ears, your eyes and your heart will cause you to live in divine health. The Word of God will continually be made life and health to your body. Don’t attend to the sickness. Attend to God’s Word. Whether you are sick or well, the Word is continually made life and health to your flesh.
This is the surest way to stay healed. To be sick and then receive healing is not God’s best. God’s best is for you to live in divine health, to have divine life continually flowing from your spirit man to your physical man keeping your physical body well. “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11).
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” The forces of life bring healing power. Out of your heart comes the force of faith to relieve you of any problem that Satan would try to bring on you. God’s best is for you to keep your heart with all diligence and have the forces of life continually coming out of your spirit. This realm of God’s very best is available to every one of us if we will spend time in the Word. The forces of life and power coming from the heart are in direct proportion to the amount of Word going in us and the attention or heed we give it. There is no limit to the amount of God’s medicine that you can take. You cannot get an overdose. The more you take, the stronger you get.
